Steve studied mathematics and physics at Amherst College and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). No degrees. He has been awarded many patents in the fields of structures, engines, passive controls and energy conservation products. Steve and Holly have lived in their passively solar heated cluster of Zomes (rhombic dodecahedra), with Drum Walls, Skylids® and Sunbenders® near Albuquerque since 1970. Steve continues to work on new innovative products.
Corporate Secretary and Treasurer and Director of Administration
Holly is in charge of Shareholder correspondence, stock transactions, prepares financial statements and oversees the office. Holly’s prudence and reliability has kept the business alive through droughts that killed others. Holly also edits most company literature and has proven with what she has learned we rarely need legal help.
Cool Cell Manager
Dave received a BA in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and is a building contractor. He specializes in inventing and developing products for market. Dave created Beadwall moveable insulation, one of Zomeworks best known products. Dave came to Zomeworks in the ‘70s while a student and worked for several years before leaving to build houses full time as a contractor. He returned to Zomeworks in 1992 to work on design and application of the Cool Cells® for the telecommunications industry. All Cool Cell orders pass over Dave’s desk. Dave has invented or been co-inventor of several of Zomeworks products. He designed and built the Double Play test buildings.

Pat joined Zomeworks in 2017. He has been developing specialized equipment for industry since the early 70's. As a graduate of the University of Michigan in 1973 in Mechanical Engineering, Pat began his career at Ford Motor Co. as a product design engineer. For ARCO Solar, under contract with Jet Propulsion Lab, he designed and built the PV industry's first automated cell soldering machinery in 1979-80. Awarded the level of Associate Technical Fellow at The Boeing Co., Mr. Gallagher designed, developed and patented equipment for the manufacture of high performance energy storage flywheels. He also holds a patent for flywheel safety containment. His other work includes custom robotics for machining titanium aircraft structures, automated carbon fiber composites fabrication, space-based solar array assembly, high speed packaging, and various factory systems for Motorola, Ross Industries, GTE, Sperry, Siemens, and others.

Katy joined Zomeworks in 2017. She handles all of the accounting needs, budgeting/forecasting, HR administration & personnel support, payroll, financial analysis & tax reporting, inventory control, bills of materials, website management and more. Katy has completed 2 Associate Degree programs from CNM and earned a Bachelors in Business Administration & Marketing Management from UNM. For the last 20 years, she has worked in a range of industries and business capacities including administrative management, full charge bookkeeping, medical office management, sports publishing, event planning & management, marketing coordinator and more.

Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant
Carmen joined Zomeworks in 2009. She is the nucleus, the oil in our machine. She is the friendly voice on the line. In addition to customer service & support, Carmen handles reception, purchasing, and invoicing. She constructs the Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Product Packets for all product lines. She also provides administrative support where needed.

CSR, Shipping Coordinator, IT/Office Support
Greg joined Zomeworks in 2018. Before getting into the solar industry, he worked as a broadcast engineer, a high school teacher, and an avionics technician. In 2006, he completed a degree in Renewable Energy System Design at San Juan College in Farmington, NM and has worked in the solar business ever since. Greg has worked on grid-tie and off-grid PV systems, solar water pumps, solar hot water and hot air systems, and passive solar building design, including computer analysis of thermal behavior. He’s worked for solar distributors, solar architects, solar installers and manufacturers. During his 12 years in the solar industry, he’s been an installer, designer, warehouse & purchasing manager, job cost estimator and data analyst.

Lead Welder & Co-Foreman
Danny joined Zomeworks in 1987! He's responsible for the skillful, clean welds on all of our products. Danny also helps to oversee the staff and work being done on the Trackers and Fixed Rack side of the shop.
Lead Sheet Metal Worker
Linh joined Zomeworks in 1995 and has been an integral part of the Cool Cell construction process. He also helps to oversee the staff and work happening in that department.
Michael joined Zomeworks in 1998. He works on Cool Cell construction and support, crafting and assembly of parts, grinding, sanding, and manages paint prep & the paint booth.
Grandpa joined Zomeworks in 1998. He handles grinding, sanding, part assembly, and Cool Cell support.
Mario originally joined Zomeworks in 2011 but left to pursue other things. We won him back in 2015. He is a machinist, metal worker/steel cutter, and he assembles and crafts parts. He also helps with time management and keeping tasks flowing between shop departments.
James joined Zomeworks in 2016. He handles the cutting of aluminum for the Trackers and Fixed Racks, builds shipping containers, and processes and packs orders for shipment.
Phu joined Zomeworks in 2016. He handles grinding, sanding, painting, part assembly, and Cool Cell support.
Tuy originally joined Zomeworks in 2011. He left in 2016 to pursue other things, but we welcomed him back in 2018. Tuy offers Cool Cell support.
