Sensivity of the Buildings - Old vs. New
This graph supports all of the conclusions from the previous graphs. Both buildings roughly follow the rising ambient temperature until February 3rd, when an inconsistent sol-air temperature (due to weather) caused both buildings to dip from the previous day, despite similar ambient temperature. Also, the Andy Shack is much more sensitive to environmental factors as it gallops over a wide temperature range (from high 40s to high 70’s). The Dave House, in comparison, has enough thermal mass and is sufficiently insulated to meander from 60 to 75 oF (nearly half the swing of the Andy Shack). On the coldest night of this graph, the Dave House North was 12 oF warmer than the Andy Shack.
