Dave House South Tank

This graph shows the temperature distribution of one of the tanks at the end opposite the absorber panels. The top of the tank peaks around 3PM since the evening sun begins hitting the panels at a higher angle. The bottom of the tank peaks a few hours later, but manages to maintain its maximum temperature for several hours since the heat from the top of the tank conducts downward and supplies the bottom with heat. This causes the Dave House South inside temperature to fall less steeply during the night since the room draws heat most directly from the underside of the tanks. The top of the tank slips a lot on the 13th but this is due to less than favorable conditions. Although the ambient temperature does not change much from the 12th to the 13th, the sol-air temperature from the other set of graphs from this period indicates there was less heating available on the 13th compared to the 12th.
