Coasting and Cooling

The Dave House North has enough thermal mass that it stays in the 70’s through the thermal gain (primarily from the South facing window) and heat exchanged with the outside, through the walls. Although the ambient outside temperature fluctuates, the large thermal mass and good insulation of the Dave House North give it a fairly consistent temperature range. The Andy Shack stays quite cool as it has a smaller cooling load than during the summer.
