The Andy Shack is very warm inside, especially during the day, but it has a very large temperature swing (15 ^oF or so) which is undesirable for an inhabited building. The Dave House South is more comfortable inside because it has a more desirable average temperature and a smaller swing. However, it begins showing the limit of solar gain as a day of cooler temps drives the Dave House North below 60 ^oF inside.
