Recovery from Previous Week
This graph reinforces all of the conclusions drawn from the previous graphs. The North building maintains a slightly lower range of temperatures than the Andy shack and the effectiveness of both at dumping heat at night depends on the difference between the radiator temperatures and the sol-air temperature. The North building had a piece of cardboard over the East window to block extra heat gain from the morning sun. This was removed in the evening on July 9th to see what effect this would have on the building’s temperature. Also, white roofing panels were added to the South building, half on the 9th and the other half on the 10th. With the roofing panels on, the South building could reflect some of the sun’s heat during the day and not get as hot inside.
